“My wife and I had some specific requirements for our officiant – LGBT friendly and able to perform a non-religious ceremony. Charles went above and beyond that. As a member of the LGBT community, he fully understood our journey as a couple and we really appreciated that. He’s an interesting, exciting, caring man who’s so easy to talk to and laugh with. He was always prompt with responses and spoke such beautiful words at the ceremony. I don’t think there was a single dry eye there. He was also able to personally connect with mine and my wife’s families so easily even though they come from entirely different backgrounds and cultures. “My husband and I were so uncertain about who we wanted to be our officiant. We considered having a loved one do it for us, but last minute decided to go with Charles. YA’LL. I am not exaggerating when I say that this was thee best decision we made for our wedding!! Charles was absolutely AMAZING. Not only did he officiate our wedding as if he’s known us for years, he also was the best hype man, he took photos behind the scenes (He took the photos added to this review), fixed my dress throughout the ceremony, helped my husband and I find a quiet moment alone, and made filing our marriage certificate so easy. All of our vendors were absolutely amazing, but we had SO many people come up to us during and after the wedding asking where we found our officiant. Some people literally thought he was a close friend or family member. He was funny, sincere, flexible, and helped us make our ceremony unique to our relationship. We had a nondenominational ceremony that also tied in the Mexican Lasso tradition. The ceremony flowed so well and it was absolutely perfect. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Charles!!!

A Blessing to Many People Minister Jackson is a God send. He was prompt when following up to answer my questions, professional, charismatic and very down to earth. Mr. Charles is Exceptional “I was referred to Mr. Charles Jackson with Love the One You’re With by our coordinator. After our initial phone call, I immediately called my fiancé and said “I found our officiant!” Mr. Charles has such enthusiasm that it is contagious, even over the phone. He took the time to explain the process and stipulations of the marriage license (which I honestly never thought about during our planning process)!
I requested to incorporate a small Cambodian tradition, the Knot-Tying Ceremony, into our ceremony to which Mr. Jackson took into his own hands to research, customize, and modernize while ensuring it will be executed respectfully. Mr. Jackson even showed up hours early on our special day to oversee the rehearsal/walkthrough. Afterwards, our bridal party came back into the bridal suite SO EXCITED and pumped up for the ceremony 🙂
At the reception, almost everyone asked us who Mr. Jackson was and how we knew him because he conducted such an amazing ceremony. He made us feel like we were special and important instead of “just another couple getting married this weekend.”
We’re glad to have cross paths with Mr. Jackson during our wedding journey and cannot recommend him enough. We made a new friend for life 🙂

Best officiant ever!!! ‘Where even to begin. From start to finish, Charles was just an absolute wedding day hero and the perfect officiant! We were originally planning to get married in Maui but when COVID hit we found ourselves having to make a quick pivot to a backyard ceremony in Houston and that’s were Charles came in. We absolutely cannot speak highly enough of him. He answered our request almost immediately, chatted with us on the phone to get a feel for what we were looking for, sent us 7 different options for vows and happily accommodated our addition of our personal vows into the ceremony. Every time we talked to him on the phone he was so filled with joy and peace and he always made us feel like everything was going to turn out just how we wanted it. He even went out and bought a Hawaiian themed shirt for our ceremony! On the wedding day, Charles was a fantastic spot of light and tranquility on an otherwise chaotic day. He happily accommodated our request for social distancing and was extremely organized and had our vows printed and ready to go for us. He delivered the vows in a way that were so meaningful and had us and all of our guests both laughing and tearing up. If that wasn’t enough, he scanned our marriage certificate off to the clerk’s office within one day of the ceremony! We would recommend Charles to anyone! He was such a wonderful part of our day and even though this wasn’t our original plan, we absolutely can’t imagine being married by anyone else!”

Charles Forever “From the moment I inquired about officiant services with Love the One You’re With, I knew they were the one! Charles promptly gave me a call and talked me through his process and what to expect from the experience. He also made sure that I knew the marriage license process — where to get it, how early to get it, and how to send it back after the wedding. In the midst of a pandemic, my greatest concern about the wedding was everyone’s comfort and safety. Charles was so responsive to these concerns, which really put me at ease. For the ceremony, Charles shared several examples of scripts and gave me ideas about how to make the moment special, but ultimately he encouraged us to choose the things we wanted to say and do for the ceremony. He showed up on the wedding day full of energy and enthusiasm for our socially distanced ceremony.
